Dr. Amy Fung is a board-certified family medicine physician with a compassionate, whole-body approach to primary care. She is passionate about fostering trusting relationships with her patients and takes the time to understand everyone’s lifestyle, cultural background, and personal health goals. Whether she’s guiding someone through chronic disease management or helping families stay well with preventive care, Dr. Fung is dedicated to being a supportive partner in every patient’s health journey.
Dr. Fung earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua and completed her residency training in family medicine at McLaren St. Luke’s Hospital in Ohio. Prior to that, she received her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from Northeastern University. Her medical training included clinical rotations in underserved communities, where she saw firsthand the profound impact of accessible, empathetic care—an experience that continues to shape her approach today.
She has a particular interest in preventive health, chronic disease management, and culturally sensitive care. Fluent in Cantonese and experienced in working with diverse patient populations, Dr. Fung strives to deliver care that respects and reflects the unique needs of every individual. Her time abroad gave her a deeper appreciation for how culture, diet, and lifestyle affect health—and she brings that insight into each patient conversation.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Fung enjoys cooking and sharing meals with her family, staying active, and exploring new places and cultures through travel. Her joy in preparing healthy meals at home mirrors her belief that small, sustainable habits can make a big difference in long-term health.
Dr. Fung is proud to be part of Hoag Medical Group and helping patients lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
