Farnaaz Kia, MD

Dr. Kia chose obstetrics and gynecology because it allows her to care for women through every stage of life, from adolescence to motherhood to menopause. She feels deeply privileged to stand beside her patients during moments of both joy and challenge, providing continuity, compassion, and expertise every step of the way. 

At the heart of her practice is a simple philosophy: listen first. Dr. Kia believes that truly hearing her patients is the foundation of patient centered care and leads to the best outcomes. 

From an early age, Dr. Kia knew she wanted to pursue a career that would allow her to give back to her community in a meaningful way. Inspired by her father and brother, both physicians who shared stories of how rewarding it is to help others, she was drawn to medicine as a path to make a lasting impact in people’s lives. 

Dr. Kia earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Medicine and completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Following residency, she joined a private practice in New York affiliated with Mount Sinai, where she specialized in high-risk obstetrics and gynecology, before returning home to California. 

Outside of medicine, she enjoys cooking, traveling, hiking, exercising, and spending time with her friends, family, and dog.
