About Helya Peyman, DO

Creating connections with her patients and making a difference in their lives is what drives Dr. Peyman’s passion. She not only enjoys the interactions with her patients, but she also finds great interest in the art and science of medicine and how she can blend the two to help her patients achieve their health goals.

Dr. Peyman chose the field of internal medicine as it allows her the opportunity to help her patients with a variety of medical needs. Whether it is a preventive screening or treating a chronic condition, Dr. Peyman enjoys the opportunity to help her patients with all aspects of their health. She enjoys learning and professes to be a lifelong learner and therefore, she makes it her responsibility to stay up to date on the latest advances in medicine to serve as a resource for her patients.

In her practice, Dr. Peyman ensures that her patients are provided the education and resources they need to be successful. She partners with her patients in every step of their health care journey which allows her patients to make informed decisions. As she states, “I view my role as an investigator. I piece together the lab work, what I hear from my patients tell me and all other factors to help create an individual care plan for each patient.”

Fluent in Farsi, Dr. Peyman earned her doctor of osteopathy degree from Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences and completed her internal medicine residency at University of Washington. She has a special interest in weight loss medicine and helping patients control their diabetes.

When she is not working, Dr. Peyman enjoys playing pickleball, biking and spending time with her young daughter and family.
