About Kunal R. Sinha, MD

Dr. Kunal Sinha, a lifelong Southern California native, developed an early passion for medicine inspired by his mother, an award-winning physician whose dedication to her patients and enthusiasm for her work left an indelible mark on him. Growing up in San Diego, he witnessed how pain could rob people of life’s simple pleasures, which fueled his desire to help others regain the ability to enjoy them. After graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry & Cell Biology from the University of California, San Diego, Dr. Sinha earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He continued his training with an Internship at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center and completed his Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UCLA Health, culminating in a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at the University of California, Irvine.

As a double-board-certified Interventional Pain Management Physician, Dr. Sinha specializes in treating a wide range of painful neurological and musculoskeletal conditions, such as spinal stenosis, radiculopathy (sciatica), neck and back strain, and sacroiliac joint (SI) pain. His patient care philosophy emphasizes empowerment and clinical excellence, tailoring treatments to meet each individual’s unique needs and goals. Dr. Sinha is devoted to delivering compassionate, world-class care, whether employing conservative approaches like exercise or advanced interventional procedures such as epidural injections, joint injections, or neuromodulation. His contributions to the field include teaching medical students, authoring textbook chapters, and publishing in medical journals.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Sinha remains dedicated to personal well-being and family. An avid racquetball player and kayaker, he also enjoys hiking and finding any excuse to spend quality time with loved ones. His professional and personal life reflects his commitment to helping others reclaim their quality of life—whether on the treatment table or the tennis court.
