During his teen years, Dr. Sur had firsthand experience observing the role of the physician while both of his grandfathers dealt with severe illnesses. His inspiration for becoming a physician was realized when he saw the impact these physicians made and the profound difference they had in his grandfather’s lives.
With a focus on treating the whole person, Dr. Sur looks at the physical, social, emotional and environmental elements when meeting with and treating his patients. He oftentimes puts himself in the patient’s shoes and as a result, has a very empathetic and caring approach. As he states, “I love interacting with my patients and learning about them. It’s important that I am there for my patients during the good and bad times.”
Dr. Sur is passionate about what he does. He is focused on continuity of care and providing a different way of caring for patients – with an emphasis on communication, education and prevention.
A graduate of Carver College of Medicine at the University of Iowa, Dr. Sur completed his residency at Riverside Community Hospital at University of California, Riverside. Additionally, he holds his Master’s degree in Public Health from California State University, Fullerton.
A Southern California native, Dr. Sur enjoys spending time with his wife and young son as well as his two dogs. His hobbies include hiking, photography and basketball.
