Dr. Sadia Khan is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon at Hoag Breast Center. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Austin and completed her medical degree with honors at Touro University College of Medicine, California. Dr. Khan finished a rigorous five-year general surgery residency program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center during which she was elected Administrative Chief Resident and awarded Resident of the Year. She is a board certified General Surgeon.
She then went on to complete a breast surgical oncology fellowship with The University of Southern California / Hoag Breast Fellowship Program under Dr. Melvin Silverstein, who is known as the pioneer of oncoplastic breast surgery in the United States. During her fellowship, Dr. Khan became the first recipient of the Muzzy Family Endowed Fellowship in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery.
Dr. Khan holds membership with the following prestigious professional organizations: American Society of Breast Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, and Association of Women Surgeons. She has been an invited speaker and presented at numerous national conferences.
Dr. Khan is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Keck School of Medicine, USC, as well as the Director of Integrative Breast Oncology at Hoag Breast Program. Her areas of expertise include oncoplastic surgery, extreme oncoplasty, intraoperative radiation therapy techniques, young and high-risk women, as well as providing comprehensive and compassionate care for patients with all breast diseases.
